- Do you eat uncontrollably or binge eat when you are not physically hungry?
- Do you eat faster than you think you should?
- Are you embarrassed to eat in front of other because of how quick you eat or how much you eat?
- Do you ever feel guilty because of overeating?
- Are you always thinking about your weight?
- Do you eat when you are depressed or to avoid other unwanted emotions?
- Do you find that you frequently have rapid weight gains?
- Do you have a history of fluctuations in your weight?
- Do you withdraw from activities in public because of embarrassment about body weight?
- Do you have a history of unsuccessful diets to lose weight?
If you answered yes to 3 or more of these you may be a compulsive overeater.
